My name is Bedriye Özcan, I am 19 years old and a self-taught artist. My interest in art began in kindergarten and has since developed through various styles and techniques.
I started by painting landscapes and nature and later moved into Arabic calligraphy.
Today, I work with various motifs and techniques – from landscapes, nature, and cars to Arabic calligraphy and paste art, while constantly exploring new ideas and ways to develop my style.
The name Beiqra is inspired by the Arabic word "Iqra" (اقرأ), which means "Read" or "Recite". It holds a special meaning for me, as a large part of my art is inspired by the Arabic language and calligraphy. "Be" is inspired by the beginning of my name, while "Iqra" preserves the connection to the Arabic language.
I originally started under the name BZ Calligraphy, with a focus on highlighting the beauty of Arabic calligraphy. Beiqra Arts is a further development of this, where I now make room for more forms of art.
